Michelle Jaime, Leed ap

founding Principal / Creative Director

Michelle is the founding principal, and creative director of The Vanguard Theory. In 2010, she launched the design studio to serve Hawaii and the broader community. Today, her work expands from Hainan, China to Nashville, Tennessee. With recognition by The New York Times, Architectural Digest, and Vogue she believes that design is an opportunity for storytelling and becoming a platform for others around her. Her background in retail, restaurant, and sales has inspired an unconventional approach to her work. Her love of her community is not just sentimental, it’s a pillar, a sense of responsibility to telling authentic stories in everything she creates.

Michelle is a graduate of University of Manoa and attended the California College of Arts in San Francisco. She is the co-host of the HGTV “Aloha Builds” series with her brothers David, and Davin Jaime.
